Although not intended for direct combat, the Vindicator still sports heavy armour plate on the main hull and on the turret itself.

The twin turrets are capable of high angles of elevation.

Although the majority of times, both guns will engage the same target, it is possible to use only one gun at a time, if perhaps the target is known to be relatively weak, or perhaps if one gun is out of action.

Alternatively, as this picture shows, the guns can be used to strike independent targets at varying distances.

Both guns can fire simultaneously, or separately to maintain a heavier rate of fire on a single target.
