GRUNTS EPISODE 10

Grunts

<Previous Episode Next Episode>

I got this idea whilst sitting at a mate's house. He was watching a war film and as a Jerry paratrooper fired his machine gun from a window, the phrase "I can see your house from here" drifted into my mind.

Focus here was tricky as the camera wanted to lock off on the front scenery - panel 2 loses it slightly and I'm still annoyed that I didn't correct it. However I'm pleased to achieve a definite comic strip style with four essentially identical panels.

The choice of colour was deliberate, I didn't want all the Grunts strips to use all the same colours and I thought a red wall would make a nice change. This would have an impact on later strips as I'd have to maintain consistency and maintain the situation that the command HQ was always this lurid red colour. But that's no bad thing - although of course it's quite insane to paint your HQ in an unmissable colour!
