Really this strip was just an excuse to show off the Aggressor class MBT that pre-dates Grunts itself - I wanted to expand the idea of Grunts to show that we're dealing with a "real" army with a whole host of equipment and weapons.

Note the zoom, again, and the hint right from the first panel that something is up. I wanted the humour to come out of nowhere, and yet for there to be an inkling for anyone looking for it, or so they could go back to it.
