Negative, it WAS at the airshow, but that was back in July. It lives elsewhere.

In fact it did a flyby and landed as part of a smaller display to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first powered flight (at Farnborough) in the UK just two weeks ago. It flew over my head (I was stood in the company car park watching) and landed 20 minutes later.

@ Captail Zutoo, that's fine, and I appreciate your viewpoint. However I'm not the only person to think this way, I know of a great many who share my opinion, and I know that EB has gained something of a bad rep' in certain quarters because of that.

I don't doubt that there are legitimate reasons to ban people or clamp down on immature behaviour - but I do still wonder how it is possible for me to run a community of 12,000+ with literally a handful of bans in five years, vs. the number of bans imposed by EB in a community a quarter of the size?

However, to be fair, EB has improved a LOT since I posted this - I don't know if this is partially due to my concerns (and those of others) or not, but I'll take my hat off to them for the level of improvement that they have managed to date and it's the reason that I considered this discussion essentially closed.

This is completley insane. EB doesn't treat its members badly at all. Banned members became banned for a reason and they were banned in the interests of the other members. And closed threads like the guide lines etc. have a right to be closed. And other important threads need to be closed so that they don't become unreadable. I'm sorry but I certainly do not share your opinion here.

Those round edges on Primo parts are just too much of a challenge. I don't get what kids are supposed to do with them.

I came up with a fun balancing project with them (although I have an unusually large Primo collection with a number of rare parts, so I don't know if any sane person can build these). Here's a photo of one of my balancing towers from my LUG's last show: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3243935

The arches only stand because the weight's balanced on each side - I've been assembling them with the whole thing going upwards, and then bending the sides outward (opposing sides at the same time).
