Douglas Adams Virtual 60th Party – Part 2, Hammersmith Apollo.

Posted by Doctor Sinister on March 11th, 2012 filed in Douglas Adams, Events

So, after my tour of Islington, and one pair of destroyed trousers, it was time to move on to Hammersmith, and the Party itself!

And…what an event!  Dancing Rhinos, famous guests, Monty Python, some comedy gold, including my favourite DNA sketch about Kamikazes (I performed that one at school!), followed by an hour of music, including David Gilmour performing my favourite Pink Floyd song “Wish You Were Here” (and we did) and then a dream combination – Gary Brooker singing “White Shade of Pale” with Gilmour performing an epic guitar solo in the middle.

There’s really too much to write about, and it was all very emotional – plus I randomly met someone from work (who knew me as Doctor Sinister, of course).  Full pix are here.
