VIGNETTE - AIRHORSE

From the corporation that brought you the SteamHorse, we now introduce the Pegasus MkI AirHorse. If you wish for a bracing challenge, and to free yourself from the limitations of the ground, the AirHorse is for you.

You can discuss this further oddity in the Tabletown Forums or in the Tabletown Blog.

AH

AH
The MkI AirHorse is a unique transportation system that will finally bring man into the sky where he belongs.

AH
Utilising the same uniquely compact internally mounted boiler as the SteamHorse, the AirHorse transmits the power directly to two sets of lifting rotors and two sets of propellors to enable the vehicle to elevate itself above ground level and to then propel itself forward.

AH
Steam is vented through an extended funnel on the starboard side of the vehicle and away from the pilot.

AH
This elegant machine will take travellers far and wide and requires only a small field in which to land.

AH
With the AirHorse beneath you, friends will marvel at your elegance and will envy your good fortune.

AH
The boiler pressure on board the MkI AirHorse can be adjusted to suit the needs of gentlemen, who may prefer a swifter journey, or the needs of a lady pilot who may prefer to be more sedate in her travel.

AH
Coal is stored in the rear hopper directly below the Air Rudder frame.

AH
There is even space for your luggage on board the AirHorse.

AH
Port and starboard indicator lamps are oil-burning and an on board toolkit can assist in an emergency.

AH
Boiler pressure can be monitored from the cockpit and the directional control of the AirHorse is adjusted from these stylish levers.

AH
The usually forward-facing propellors can be rotated to add additional lift during takeoff manoeuvres...

AH
...Or can be rotated backwards to allow swift turning in the air or to help in braking to a halt.
